Self Merging

"Self Merging" is a visual meditation on the instability and multiplicity of the self. Set against a crimson backdrop, the entwined body fractures and reshapes itself continuously, caught in a state of constant flux and transformation. The image is woven with "automatic" black line work— organic, restless faces and forms that twist and tangle into one another. These shapes evoke emotions, memories, and desires from the subconscious, still unresolved. They reflect the tension between external influences and the inner world, attempting to restructure the unconscious. This painting does not merely depict "merging" but rather a condition of perpetual rupture, regeneration, and collage. As viewers engage with the work, they are drawn into this very cycle, becoming a part of the reassembling process. In doing so, they may find themselves initiating a cycle of self-reconstruction, prompting inner questions: Who am I? Where am I heading?
